Ingredients

4 large eggs

¼ tsp. chili flakes

1 pinch kosher salt, optional

Recipe Steps

Step 1

Fill a pot with enough water to cover the eggs and bring it to a boil.

Step 2

Once the water begins boiling, carefully lower the eggs into the water using a spoon.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to maintain a gentle boil and cook for 6-7 minutes for a jammy texture.

Step 4

Prepare an ice bath in a bowl.

Step 5

After cooking, immediately transfer the eggs to the ice bath to cool for about 3 minutes.

Step 6

Tap each egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, then carefully peel them under running water. The water helps to loosen the shell.

Step 7

Cut the eggs in half lengthwise. Sprinkle a pinch of chili flakes over each half. Add a small sprinkle of salt if desired. Serve immediately.

Note: The amount of chili flakes used can be adjusted according to your heat preference.
