Ingredients
2½ Tbsp (6g) butterfly pea flowers, dried
½ cup water, hot
⅔ cup oat milk, room temp unsweetened
3 Tbsp pure honey, organic
5-6 cubes black tea jelly
½ cup oat milk, cold unsweetened
Recipe Steps
Step 1
Place the dried butterfly pea flowers into hot water, allowing them to steep and infuse for 5 minutes. This process will extract the vibrant blue color and delicate flavor of the flowers into the water, creating a colorful and aromatic tea base.
Step 2
After the tea has sufficiently cooled to room temperature, gently pour the room-temperature unsweetened oat milk into the tea.
Step 3
Using a frother, froth the tea and oat milk mixture for about a minute or until the mixture is well aerated and has achieved a thicker, creamier consistency. Once done, set this mixture aside for later use in the recipe.
Step 4
Pour the organic pure honey into a glass cup.
Step 5
Add the black tea jelly cubes on top of the honey. These jelly cubes will add a unique texture and an extra layer of tea flavor to your drink.
Step 6
Pour the cold, unsweetened oat milk into the glass over the honey and black tea jelly.
Step 7
Gently top off the glass with the frothed tea mixture.
Note: Pouring slowly and steadily will help maintain the distinct layers in the drink, creating an appealing visual and a delightful mix of textures and temperatures.
Step 8
Finally, stir the mixture gently to combine all the ingredients. This will blend the layers of flavors and textures into a cohesive, creamy, and flavorful beverage. Now, it's ready to be enjoyed!
