3-4 cardamom pods, crushed

1 small fresh ginger, peeled and sliced

Add the milk and sugar to the saucepan and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Step 5

Increase the heat to medium and bring the tea to a boil.

Step 6

Reduce the heat to low and let the tea simmer for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 7

Remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the tea into a teapot or individual cups. Serve the Karak Chai hot and enjoy!

Remember:

You can adjust the tea's sweetness and strength according to your taste. Some people also like adding a little bit of rose water or orange blossom water to the tea to add flavor. You can also serve Karak Chai with some biscuits or dates on the side for a traditional Middle Eastern touch.
